Young Saskatoon Researchers Capture Top Biotech Prize

Work on the Anticancer Effects of Soy Isoflavones took first place first in the 2006 Sanofi-Aventis Biotech Challenge (SABC) in Saskatoon .

Howard Meng and Bobby Xiao, grade eleven students from Walter Murray Collegiate, went home with First Place in the Open Division. They carried out their research in the Physiology Department at the University of Saskatchewan with Dr. XiuYuan Song. Howard and Bobby received a cash prize of $2300 to be shared with their school and competed today in the national competition.
